The success story of Yünsa, which is one of the five largest upper-segment woolen fabric manufacturers in the world today, started in 1973. Yünsa, which started its operations by producing top quality menswear woolen woven fabric, included women's wear in its portfolio in 1998.

Exporting to more than fifty countries, Yünsa has the largest market in Germany and is the fabric supplier of major international fashion brands. While contributing to the Turkish economy with its high export power, it is one of the leading national brands that represent Turkey with its high-end and innovative products in the international arena. As Europe's largest integrated woven fabric manufacturer , it has an annual production capacity of 4,500 tons of worsted yarn and 10 million meters of fabric weaving.

While a large part of Yünsa's product portfolio consists of 100% wool fabrics; cashmere, silk, viscose…etc. blended woolen fabric production is also included in the rich product range. Developed with new generation technologies, these fabrics have properties such as water repellent, UV protection, self-cleaning and natural stretching. It also has Marks & Spencer, Next and Interwoollabs laboratory accreditations.

Since 1990, when it went public, it has continued to work successfully with the goal of "sustainable profitability that creates value" for its investors and all stakeholders. With the sales approval made by the Competition Board on October 24, 2019, Yünsa Shares were purchased from Sabancı Holding by Mustafa Sürmegöz and Ziraat Participation Partnership Sürmegöz Tekstil Yatırım; As of 03.03.2022, all of Ziraat Participation's shares in Sürmegöz Tekstil were taken over by Mustafa Sürmegöz. The remaining shares are publicly traded on Borsa Istanbul.
